Our services

Information Centre:
Founded in 1998, the Information Centre provides local companies with vital business information on international markets, as well as providing international companies with needed information on the local market.
The Canter also provides detailed information on projects of commercial/industrial/services businesses in cooperation with European/global markets, including information on buying, selling, technological assistance and commercial cooperation.

Euro Info Correspondence Centre Relay:
The 290-center strong EICC network is an important information lifeline between the EU and Mediterranean countries. In 2004, an EICC Relay was established in the Homs Chamber of Commerce to allow members to tap into the network's services. Information on European companies and the EU regulatory environment, for example, is designed to help Small and Medium Enterprises (SME's) in Syria . The Relay also provides information on the Syrian businesses community, local social policies, programmes, and local legislation to meet needs of foreign companies. The relays also promote the services available to Syrian SMEs and answer questions from EU companies interested in Syria.
The Relay also cooperates with the other relays at the chambers of commerce and industry in the country and with SEBC by issuing a monthly publication containing commercial opportunities and international exhibitions with details on foreign companies interested in conducting business with Syrian companies, in addition to providing details on upcoming international exhibitions.

Training Centre:
At the beginning of 2005, the chamber has established a Training Centre. Considered one of the best in the area, the centre aims at taking the lead in the development of business skills in the Homs business community. In cooperation with the Syria European Business Centre (SEBC), the centre utilizes highly-trained local and international trainers who bring international best practices to Syria's doorstep. The centre organises various management training courses and other training according to the needs of the local business community.

Certificates of Origin:
As foreign trade has increased the demand on certificates of origin issued by the Chamber has increased. Members wishing to export their products obtain the required certificates of origin from the Chamber after presenting the required details.

Foreign Promotion Desk:
This department organises foreign visits to Homs and trade missions abroad in an effort to make the foreign markets aware of local companies and develop trade relations with the outside world. The Foreign Promotion Desk acts as a nexus between local businesses and foreign companies seeking to create commercial relations with economic players in the governorates.

Arbitration:
The Chamber resolves commercial disputes in a fast and effective way that removes the need for lengthy and costly court cases. Local and/or international companies participating in arbitration sign a contract to undergo arbitration at the Chamber. An arbitration committee then studies the case and reaches a decision that is binding on both parties. Once a resolution has been reached, the matter is then put before a court for final approval.

Representation:
The Chamber also represents its members before local and regional authorities and allows its members the opportunity to inquire about changes in the laws governing commercial activities through organizing meetings with officials from ministries and local authorities. Chamber members also take part in drafting changes on the Commercial Law, taxation laws and others via their membership in the competent ministerial committees.
